What is Social Work?
It is an Academic Discipline and Profession that concerns itself with individual, Families, Group and Communities in an effort to enhance Social Functioning and over all well-being.
We can found Social Workers in every facet of community life, In Schools, Hospitals, Mental health Clinics,Prisons, Military, Corporations even in public and private agencies.
Some of us think that Social Work is just an easy job but the truth, It is one tough and Exhausting job. They often have a heavy case load with limited time and resources. Social workers must be emotionally and mentally prepared. They must be compassionate yet firm and assertive when dealing with hostile clients. It is not an easy job you must have a lot of patience and skills to be a social worker. Its hard but the work that they will do is priceless.
